Particularly looking for someone around the Frederick area. Someone with schoolies would be a huge plus. I don't have a horse (between leases right now) and I usually event. Right now, since I'm between horses I thought I would try to work on my dressage skills and position. I've ridden thru novice in eventing so I don't need something super high level to ride (although if offered I wouldn't turn it down ).

Any suggestions would be great!

Dark Horse Stables! Janna Dyer and Christine Betz. http://www.darkhorsestables.com/start.htm

Owned by Janna. Christine teaches out of there (as well as traveling) http://christinebetzdressage.com/

School horses (I'm riding a PSG schoolmaster). They show, they compete, they're serious trainers. Janna was at CDI Raleigh this past weekend.

Eventer stable - school horses Andelain Farm in Thurmont Wendy Moulton http://www.equinesanctuary.org/

Paula (these are my own personal endorsements. I am sure there are others, but I can speak for these two).

I really enjoyed riding with Ginger LaBarre, she has great explanations and I learned a lot from her. I wish I still had the $$$ to ride with her!!

Siobhan Byrne works out of Goodness Ridge Farm - about 10 minutes east of Libertytown. www.goodnessridge.com Not sure if there are schoolies available. She is very correct.

A third recommendation for Siobhan. She is just wonderful - equally talented as a teacher and horse trainer. She is also a super nice person.

Siobhan does teach lessons at my farm and sometimes gives lessons on her FEI schoolmaster Andalusian. Siobhan has a website, too: www.qualiadressage.com

She is a fantastic rider, trainer, and teacher!
