Do any of you know about the Detroit Zoo's rescue racehorses?

I believe they own a few that came through CANTER Michigan (not really "rescued" by the zoo but 'adopted' through canter...)

Yes, they were part of the CANTER program in Michigan. We are working with them to build new digs. They've been great ambassadors for OTTB's.

That is good news! The way I heard about them:
I was looking at MSU's graduate programs in animal studies and found a link to the zoo's web site. I was really intrigued at the idea of horses in a zoo! (Well, other than Prezwalski's Horses).

Must be nice to live in a city where zoos really help animals. :)
