View Full Version : So disappointed

This is more of a vent really.

When is a schooling show more important than your horse's well being? (rhetorical question)

Honestly, if your horse is so sore he's starting to try to toss you on a regular basis, why insist on going to a show this weekend? And a schooling show at that - one of six or more on the summer schedule. I just don't get it.

I'm so disappointed in this person/owner, someone who should know better, who would critize someone else if they did the same thing. Even after commenting her horse is sore she'll ride and drill, drill, drill for over an hour.

This is a nice horse that really tries hard and puts up with a very unbalanced and therefore, not so kind, rider. So frustrating.

Please, please dear horsie gods, don't ever let me fall into this place . . .

Tell me about it! I see it all the time. People riding/showing/hunting horses that hurt. If your horse's back is so sore that you can't groom it, you shouldn't be riding it .
