I am relocating to Lexington from NY in June and am looking for trainer recommendations for my 6yr old mare. I have owned her for 8 months now. She has had a slow and harrowing start to life and is now on the right track with me. She was backed in April and had 15 days of riding put into her by a "natural horsemanship" cowboy, so to speak. Since then, I've continued to work with her on the ground, lunging her in tack, etc. At this moment, I'm always at the barn alone so I rarely have the opportunity to get on her. I'd like to put her in a 30, 60, maybe even 90 day training program when we get down to Lexington. Can anyone recommend a gentle, reliable and reasonably priced trainer in that area? She has excellent local baby green potential and I am hoping she'll be my next adult hunter one day. I have access to a top knotch AA trainer in Lexington, but would rather her go to a lower-key trainer to get started. I'm in no rush with her and wouldn't mind waiting until next spring to start showing her. Feel free to PM me or post here. I look forward to hearing all recommendations- both pro and con.
