View Full Version : Show jacket question

I found a pretty good deal for this jacket here:
RJ Classics Delmar (http://www.tackroominc.com/oscthumb.php?src=lMzVwtXM2I6xnZicmpurysvaxtWVpNbI1 8Lcxs-Vq8_K0MSbz9PP&w=537&h=600&f=jpg&q=95&hash=11a7120040d62bbcbefc4ad116fef02f)
My question is: is the plaid going to get me laughed out of the ring? Or is it super or even fairly passe now? For the rest of my outfit, I've got beige Tailored Sportsman breeches, zip-up Dublin tall boots and a white shirt and a light blue shirt.

That jacket is absolutly fine. I actually show in one simalar to it. You would be totally normal wearing it :)

Awesome, thanks! :) I'm really partial to it as well, especially since it's not as plain as straight navy and I love color.

Looks great on my screen!

I have a navy windowpane/plaid and love it. As long as it is subtle (which it is), you will be just fine.

I've seen a lot of this pattern out there, I personally just don't like the ones that are obvious from a distance. This one looks good to me on the screen though, and I think the bad ones I've seen are more contrasting colors, like purple. I would post some specific examples, but that might put me on the bad side of the people I have pictures of wearing them:lol:

I saw kids in the big eq at devon wearing very similar jackets, AKA you will be in style!

Plaid is super hip. At least that's what up and coming equestrian fashion designer Adrianna Anderocci says. She recommends plaid for the hunter ring but says the Ariat Trophy Coat is a better fit.
You can find her thoughts on hunter fashion here:

Did you check Robyn at The Collection? She has RJs even cheaper on sale...
I think it might even be the same fabric?!
