We won't be moving to Houston, TX, but we might be moving a good bit south of Atlanta, to Barnesville, GA. We'd like a full service boarding barn with a dressage or dressage and eventing emphasis. I would really prefer a place that caters to the adult amateur and offers some amenities.

You might want to contact GDCTA (http://www.gdcta.org/) and ask for a copy of their membership directory. It has a services section that lists boarding/training facilities. You may be able to find a place in the Griffin or Forsyth areas. Newnan is another good area - lots of horse people there, but it is about one hour from Barnesville.

I am a GDCTA Member so I've got a copy of the directory. I think I scanned thru it and didn't see anything real close. I don't want us to have to drive an hour to get to the barn. The move might not take place, depends on if my brother-in-law gets a job offer. So I will keep on looking a bit. One of the things I thought I wold do is call the local vets and see what barns they know about.

Oops, here is another group to try - http://www.mgsha.com/

Checking with the local vets is a good idea. Also maybe the area tack stores.
