Just wanted to share a few photos of my new hunter project. :) Excited to see what he becomes in a few months from now!

Just turned 4, sporthorse thoroughbred gelding. Hoping he will eventually do the 3' hunters, so far we have just been over a pole...so have a long way to go :)

Very Cute!!! I have a major soft spot for palominos, the first pony I leased looked just like him

He is GORGEOUS! Where on earth did you find a palomino tb-- and such a beautiful one to boot? I know there aren't too many around...

There will be NO missing a spot and having it go unnoticed on that one! Very eye catching!

Keep us posted on his progress, he'll be fun to follow on the boards! Oooh, whats his name, and what sort of super fun show name are you going to come up with?

Love palaminos! My first lesson horse I rode was a Palamino. I owned 2 afterwards.

Yummy. Congratulations! Nothing like a good thoroughbred.

May. 27, 2011, 08:35 AM
What fun, a palomino! Congrats to you both.

Congrats on your new boy! When I saw someone said "love the color" before I clicked on the link, really dark bay was what flashed in my mind. Imagine my surprise! What a treat :)

YUMMM!!! Enjoy.

He's lovely -- great classic TB hunter look too, the color is just as it should be, icing on the cake. Congrats!

I too would love to know his breeding - it can't be but from a few lines :)

May. 27, 2011, 09:26 AM
Beautiful color. Good luck with him!

May. 27, 2011, 09:47 AM
Ooh lovely! Keep us updated! And yes, I too am interested in knowing what kind of name you're coming up with for this lovely ;)

May. 27, 2011, 10:48 AM
You could be starting a new trend. Love the color !!

May. 27, 2011, 11:58 AM
He is BEE-YOO-TEE-FUL! The dapples almost blinded my eyes. :D

I adore palominos. And own three dark bays.

So jealous!

Enjoy, and please share the name of the farm you got him from if it's a breeder who has palomino TBs! (I think there's one in Michigan I've heard about, maybe even a poster on this board, don't know where else.)

I was expecting some sort of nice looking bay when someone said they loved his color.. he's GORGEOUS!
I'd love to see some videos when you get him jumping!

May. 27, 2011, 10:36 PM
Thanks everyone! Yep, he's got a lovely personality to boot! Hes just about 30 days under saddle and did his very first jump (well, raised pole) the other day - here is a short video clip, not the greatest quality...and a little wobbly to the fence (but not bad for his first time!):

He is full thoroughbred, but bred for hunters not racing :) Im hoping to get him out touring around the warmup rings over the next month and maybe do the 2' hunters at the local shows late summer. Ideally, I am hoping he will be a 3' hunter on the B or smaller A ciruit.

But what's his breeding! *pout* ;) Any relation to Sato?

There are very few dilute TB lines, so it's very interesting to know who is doing what :) He's so very cute

May. 27, 2011, 10:48 PM
Sorry guys! No relation to Sato, he's a Guaranteed Gold baby :) I believe the stallion owner posts on here occasionally.

He's so cute!

Ha! I saw that trot and thought, "Probably a GG baby." The lack of white was a good clue too.

I guessed Sato based on his name starting with S :) Is GG the direct sire? Yes, TrueColorsFarm, Donna, does indeed post here :)

GG is a pretty good white killer, so it's very common to see his kids without any/much white :) GG himself really doesn't put white on either.

Very nice! I'm jealous! I'm a sucker for the "different" colors.

Good luck with him!
