The new dressage tests for First Level test 1 says that you can sit or rise. Last time I did dressage shows in 2009 I did training level 4 in which you could rise and I did First Level test 1 in which you had to sit except for lengthenings or the stretchy trot.
Has this changed? Can I really rise trot at First Level test 1? Will I get points knocked off if you are allowed to rise and choose that option over sitting?
Thanks in advance!

Reread your very first sentence and you have your answer.

The tests have changed since 2009.

I will add to KateWooten's "no" that not only is the answer no, but every judge I know would rather see you rise than sit badly.
