Hi all,

I tried a search of this forum to no avail, so I thought I'd ask. Are there other U.S focused racing forums that people frequent/find helpful? What are your favorite resources for keeping up with breeding, sales, trainers, etc.

Thanks!

If you're into Harness Racing here's a free site run by a former trainer with 500+ wins.

http://www.betusvegas.com/

He offers (for free) excellent race selections......and an interactive live video feed.

No BS site.

Two others you might want to look at are: www.thoroughbredchampions.com (http://www.thoroughbredchampions.com) and www.pedigreequery.com (http://www.pedigreequery.com)

Cindy Pierson Dulay's site used to be good, but I haven't been a regular there in a long time. It got to be too handicapping-oriented for my tastes (I could not care less about betting strategies). But the forum moderators - Cindy's husband Terence did most of the work - are really cool folks.

I frequented that forum for many years. It was a bustling forum but from what I've seen in a few visits in the last year it has slowed dramatically and yes, it is very handicapping orientated. It's also a more restrictive owner controlled type of forum.

I 2nd Thoroughbred Champions and the Pedigree Query forums.

There's also Throughbrednet (http://thoroughbrednet.us/forums/).

I kind of miss the Thoroughbred Times forum, even though in its later days it could have been called Trolls Run Rampant. I believe it was the unmitigated brawling that finally caused the TTimes administrators to pull the plug. But it had a lot of good, lively discussions in addition to the vitriolic spewage.

Also TVG's:

I haven't read or posted there in quite sometime myself. It gets a bit too much with some overly aggressive and uninformed people. Then again you can find that breed of poster almost everywhere on The Internets ;)

The Derby List? I use to post there quite often back in the '90s. Back in the Cigar days...I was of the opinion that he was over-rated, so was quite unpopular .

There is one guy who has managed to infiltrate seemingly EVERY racing BB on the web, and been banned from quite a few. He's just over-the-top obnoxious and arrogant and is a self-proclaimed expert on everything from handicapping to breeding to racehorse care.

I'm not calling him out directly for fear he will Google himself and show up HERE, but his username is two syllables starting with "D" and ending with "y". Both syllables rhyme with "hay". Many of you will know EXACTLY to who I'm referring.
