Hi I am looking for a job/working position at a race farm or at a track for Thoroughbreds in the Maryland area. I do not want to go on the Western shore, though. I would be willing to travel to Delaware or Northern Maryland (think rising sun area/fair hill). I have ridden horses since I was a kid (20 yrs old now) and I am 5'1" if that helps. I would really like to exercise horses. thank you in advance!

You need to log time on a training farm first.
I will attest that newbies at Fair Hill are common and not a safe thing.
You need to get fit for riding racehorses on a farm with 2 yr olds and layups. That will teach you the rules of the tracks before you go out onto a busy training surface where Derby and BC winners train.
(Green gallop riders can be exceedingly dangerous on a busy track)
Try Chesapeake City. There are training farms there and I think that's not far from where you are.
Don't try to move to the "big tracks" until you have done at least 3 + months on a farm or a smaller training track.
