Yay, blacktype!

My disaster filly got some blacktype on her page today!

Windy Sails, a daughter of Summer Sails, who is a 1/2 sister to my filly's dam Hopalong, ran 2nd in the $75k Golden Poppy at Golden Gate today. She's the 2nd foal from Summer Sails - her older 1/2 brother has a record of 6-4-1-0 with his only unplaced effort in a stakes.

My girl is the only foal we got from Hopalong (lost her to colic when my filly was about 3 months old.) It probably sounds dumb to be excited about this fairly minor thing, but you take what you can get in this business, right?

Hey, update on this 'cause I'm excited. The 3YO "cousin" to my girl - who is most closely related to her, also being by a Seattle Slew-line stallion - won an allowance at GG today. She was entered in a stakes over the holidays but scratched. Hoping for some future blacktype for this one!
