Good work on the part of all involved!

I'm, of course, especially proud that they took special notice of the Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program, stating that

The Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program is the top such program we have ever reviewed.”I know that this represents a lot of hard work, and concern, on the part of many people at Finger Lakes. Congratulations to them all.

In the middle of the card, we went to see the focal point of this visit, the Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Center. I had been hearing good things about this group, which began in 2006, and they were all confirmed in person.

Most of Finger Lakes 2011 stakes schedule cancelled due to massive funding cut.

Fully expected with the demise of the NYCOTB which fed Finger Lakes like no other track and was their lifeblood with a massive % of the daily handle. That said the track officials optimistically are (http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/62815/finger-lakes-believes-stakes-cuts-temporary) saying the stakes cuts [are a] “temporary setback.”

They're heavily banking that they'll be receiving substantial revenue from a video lottery terminal casino at Aqueduct.
