How do they fit? My tack shop only carries full size but they appear very small. Do you think they would work for a 15.3 hand mare with a delicate head ( she wears a cob in a Vespucci).

It might fit they do run a little smaller. Great Bridle love the ones I have. As long as your tack stores lets you return it try it on and it if it to big then return it.

I think they run quite small. My horse fits perfectly into a horse sized Arc de Triomphe but takes an oversize in the Hadfields. A horse size was too small. For example, the Arc browband in horse size is 15.5 " and the Hadfields is 15.5" in oversize.
As long as you can return the bridle, I would try for the horse size first.

Hadfields bridles run almost a full size small, IME.
Also, check the keepers to make sure they are tight before you purchase one - they seem to frequently run so loose that they don't hold the straps properly. I have had to replace the ones on my bridle, very annoying.
