Anyone know where to find a bit like this? The loose ring with a full cheek?

It's called a Fulmer. So look for that.

I believe that's called a Fulmer

here's the google shopping results I found: http://www.google.com/#q=fulmer+full+cheek&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbm=shop&ei=Vn6eTZyGBougtweX8-mGAw&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=5&ved=0CBMQ_AUoBA&biw=1440&bih=780&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=2c1304d622775efd

That tack store is about half an hour from me... I'd say go ahead and get it from there but honestly, you can probably find the same thing brand new for just a few bucks more :/ she sells all used stuff but takes a huge commission and sell stuff just below retail even though it's used... *sigh*

Yep; it's a fulmer :) I ride in one, and it is legal for eventing dressage at least! In my experience it has been really hard to find, mine came with my horse :D good luck finding one!

I have a friend who likes to use these on her eventers. I've seen a lot of them in consignment shops around here, so they are certainly out there used.
