I have a pair of Ariat Monaco half chaps and am in love with the soft, buttery feel of them. Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow for me to purchase the Monaco field boots so does anyone have any recommendations for a boot conditioner that may help my current boots to soften up more?

Oh, and I'm looking for something that goes on the inside of the boot, not the outside...

try Vogels boot conditioner - can be used on the inside and out.Don't use saddle soap on them as will dull them so you'll never get a nice shine again

Try Leather Balm, I buy it where you purchase shoe polish. It really helps soften my boots and the boots shine just like they were polished.

Have YOU used it on the inside of your boots? And did it soften after one application or is it best to use over several applications. The product discription seems like its only made for the outside. I have new tall boots that are unbarebly stiff at the moment and need some love, but I too want something to condition and soften the inside of the boot, without being oily and thus ruining my breeches.
I've also heard that soaking your tall boots in warm water and then wearing until dry will soften and break the leather in, but its a little chilly out for that yet, and I want to condition the leather as well. Thanks!

I would not be afraid to try Akene (conditioner) on the inside of my boots...

Call The Tack Box - http://www.thetackboxinc.com/ - in Middleburg VA. They have something on their shelf that they claim is basically the same as the vogel conditioner, but I haven't tried it yet.
