Does anyone have any recommendations for excellent eventing trainers near Statesville, NC (which is between Winston Salem and Charlotte)? I would like to get my horse going XC and need some professional help :D

I am willing to travel up to an hour in any direction.

It's the closest thing I know of in this area.

I know Nanci Lindroth is coming to TTC (http://ttcmocksville.com/content/class_list.html) in Mocksville once a month for lessons and is usually in the area an additional weekend. What I don't know is if you want XC specifically, some of the TTC course is closed because it's in the hayfield but you can e-mail or call them and ask.

Oh, that's nice to know. I have not been to TTC in quite awhile. I just looked at their website and it looks like she will be there April 10th (next weekend).

The Fork Farm is having a clinic May 28th and 29th.

Statesville is an hour from our barn....

though our Facebook, Third Charm Event Team, is more up-to-date I'm afraid!

I will totally plug Jennifer with ThirdCharm.
She had my naughty large pony over the winter and in 4 months got him going great! He won a CT and was 2nd at his first HT. I have not jumped in about 18 years except to do some crossrails here and there. Now we are working on me but said naughty pony is much more comfortable with knowing his job and putting up with my mistakes (long, short, catching him in the mouth, flopping on his back). Pony was a rescue and can be 1. scared or 2. truely just a jerk so I need someone firm but kind. He loved being up there. Loved it! I am sending him back next winter.
I live on the west side of CLT and it takes me over an hour with the trailer to get to Midland which I hate! I tried a couple of other trainers on my side of town and we/they and pony just were not a match. Thankfully we are in an eventing area and have several knowledgeable people to choose from. Good luck finding the person who fits you guys.

I will be relocating to the NC area and it would be great to know where there is a need for a trainer & boarders who desire a top rate equine care boarding & feed program but at an affordable cost.

Would love to here from anyone. I'm creating a boarding & Training wait list.

Nanci is great - and isn't Bonnie Mosser in Charlotte these days?

I haven't ridden with Rebecca Howard (at the Fork) but I've seen her ride and she seems like a smart up and comer..

I'd highly recommend Hillary Irwin who is now located in Elkin, NC (about 30 miles N of Statesville). You can reach her here:

Also Bonnie Moser is coming to her farm on a regular basis to give lessons.

Welcome to the rural NC event community!!!

I believe Bonnie Moser is located in Davidson. She, obviously, is an asset to the area. Nanci Lindroth frequents TTC in Mocksville.

Feel free to check out my website or contact me for info on lessons or other suggestions in the area. We're located in Statesville.

Welcome to the area! :)
