Normally I'm not one for pre-class festivities when I'm only watching online, but that was entertaining. Gotta say, though, I've never though about having to make sure my horse doesn't care about a paratrooper coming in for a landing in the show ring while I warm up nearby.

They're also using recorded music by convicted pedophile Gary Glitter... Given the show's backstory that does leave a bad taste in the mouth. :(

Any wobbles in the feed are very likely attributable to the t-storms thru N. Fla. and GA, they really are hellacious. We had hail the size of my thumbnail a few minutes ago, so I won't be surprised if my ISP fails completely...

Brianne is using the same bit combination as Eric Lamaze uses on Hickstead... it is an eggbutt snaffle and a hackamore, with a bit converter connecting the two that the reins are attached to.

I just want to say kudos and thank you USEF. My PC is rigged for video - 27" monitor (which I am LOVING right now) and built for speed, and this video is coming across all 27" beautifully, and with zero buffering.

I imagine slower connections are being served appropriately with smaller files of lesser quality (they can do that), but I am thankful that for those of us who have spent stupid amounts of money on computer systems that they aren't cutting corners in this broadcast. They have invested nicely in this.

Good gawd this is a GREAT jump off!!!

Here's hoping we get to see her next year. At 16, they don't bounce back so quick and MW does have pretty deep bench strength there. No need to rush.

DH wanted to take some pics of some of the jumps and standards up close to give him some jump building ideas. When we went out to take the pics, there were about 20 little girls petting every part of Quiet Study and asking Lauren all kinds of questions. Quiet Study was loving the attention, and Lauren was being so kind and gracious with the kids. It was just a lovely display of a wonderful horse, great sportsmanship, and good role modeling. :)
