One of my students will be attending Virginia Tech in Blacksburg this fall...any recommendations for boarding and lessons? Doesn't need super fancy...just basic board and weekly Dressage lessons on her 9 yr old Dutch/TB mare. This is her first horse and a recent purchase so does need some basic guidance on horse ownership. TIA

Jynn Jendrowski trains out of a nice facility up in Blacksburg. The barn has a large indoor and nice pastures. She has her gold medal and competes regularly. I have always found her to be very professional and nice. She also already has some students from VT that work with her so your student would have some good company. http://www.theeducatedequestrian.com/equestrianprofile.htm

Check out SWVADA.org too.
SWVADA = SouthWest Virginia Dressage Association
Or breventing.org (Blue Ridge Eventing Association)

I just want to second Lynn Jendrowski. I only know her from being at the same shows that she's at (and somehow always stabling near her). She's kind, professional, and truly does care about her horses.
