Does anyone have any suggestions for a dressage whip with a very thin handle? My whip handle is so thick it just does not feel right in my hand. A friend had one that was quite thin that I tried and much preferred, but there is no brand name or anything on it. Thanks for any suggestions!!!:)

In the gaited show ring, these tend to be the norm:

the handle is nothing more than a piece of leather wrapped around the shaft. So you don't have a very cushy grip...but if you like it that way then you're all set!

the caveat is that IME gaited whips are not as 'whippy' as dressage whips.

I LOVE Wonder Whips, I got mine in Dover. Very thin handle, however I never feel like I'm going to drop it because it has a mushroom cap wide enough not to slip out of your hands while riding. It comes in three lengths and three different handle colors. Love love love these whips!

I have this cheapie whip: http://www.doversaddlery.com/etd-dressage-whip/p/X1-1427/cn/127/

(I'm not so sure I would put a ton of confidence in the low review--I'm not exactly gentle on my whip and it lives in a barn aisle and holds up great)

it doesn't have a "handle" area, so it's quite thin. I have stubby fingers and I have difficulty with heavy whips with thick handles. I also like Fleck whips.

I LOVE my Fleck whip :) It's navy, thin, and.. it says his name on it :) hee hee.

But the main reason I love it...okay, the main reason is because it says his name, but the other main reason is that it is thin. :) I don't like holding a lot of stuff in addition to reins. And it wasn't hideously priced either. I think Dressage Extensions carries them.
