Any way to make a saddle smaller from front to back by using a seat cover? Which saddle covers ones work?
19 inch dressage saddle fit to a man. I'm a 17.5 inch saddle user and I tend to slide back a bit in DH's saddle. It's his horse and his saddle. I'll jump on for 15-20 minutes to work with his girl before or after his ride so the cover needs to be able to whip on and whip off. His girl is a percheron so I'd prefer something that does not add width :-)

You could lift the back of the saddle a little (like with a folded hand towel. It will push you forward making the saddle feel smaller.

Not sure how one of these seat cushions (http://www.fennells.com/store/products.asp?h1=245&i=159&buy=245&Table=Products&css=&i1=Horse+Equipment&r1=154&i2=Saddles%2C+Accessories+and+Fittings&r2=159&i3=&r3=245&sdk=Saddle+Pads+and+Bags) would fit on a dressage saddle, but the premise sure would work. They are designed for saddle seat saddles and are super comfortable. One side is suede.

Less expensive model (http://www.ehorseequipment.com/product.aspx?no=598700&sort=&page=&cid=12)

not sure a seat saver will help when the biggest issue is usually were the stirrup bars fall probably putting you behind the motion.

Is riding without the stirrups a viable option?

I bought one of these for a different issue, but it has that effect of making the saddle a size smaller.

I never use it. PM me.

That would definitely be a case where the saddle makes my butt look big
