View Full Version : Not-so-green rider on not-so-green horse!

I just had to share this link even if you will not understand a word of what they are saying.
This guy is 89 yo and rides an ex Swedish National DressageTeam horse somewhere in his 20´s a couple of times per week.
Just look at his face when the horse starts to snuggle and the way the horse moves in trot and canter to make it easy!
I wish I will turn 89 that way!

Inspirational! I, too, hope I can turn 89 that way. I didn't have to understand it; his riding and his expression said everything. I also love the big orange barn cat. :D

I've heard more than one master of dressage say the art is to be ridden "with your bones" hence why even in old age riders can still have precision. This man is certainly proof of that.

That is an amazing man. Very inspirational. Thanks for posting. Hopefully I'll remember him next time I'm tempted to wimp out in a measley little 1/2 hour lesson and man up instead!
