My mare is recovering from a suspensory injury curently and is on about 1/8 of an acre + stall at night. She developed a 1 inch diameter circle right below the hock. Im suspicious whether it is a splint or not, but it seems to be very high to be a splint. The "boney circle" is on the outside. It is not movable, swollen, or soft. She was lame about a few days ago, today she isn't lame on that leg.
Any ideas? We are planning to go to the vet on Monday for the suspensory - but just want to get an idea on what it is...
