I will be in Virginia in the next few weeks, and am looking for reputable horses and sale barns in Virginia. Particulary, I am looking for young quality Warmbloods for sale, and FEI horses. Please send me a PM!

Thank you!!

Not directly sales barns, but since you said you were looking for young warmbloods...you might try contacting some of the breeders on the MidAtlantic Hanoverian Breeder's Club. The large proportion of the members live in NoVA or in metro DC Maryland. Many breeders have young stock under saddle or could refer you to trainers that are training their young stock for sale

Try Erin Sweeney - http://www.dressage.cc/Contact_Me.html

She always has some really nice horses, and rides for Marefield Meadows, which is a pretty big breeding operation in VA.

Not VA, but 8 hours south in North GA. Well worth the trip, you can try ~ 10 horses in same visit. Several very nice Hanoverian prospects under saddle directly from breeder. Young Horse trainer also has several other prospects. Excellent temperament and athleticism for dressage and hunters. Horses have been started with focus on rock solid fundamentals, light in the bit, forward with impulsion and responsive to the aids.

Please keep the query and responses general in terms of suggestions to comply with our no-advertising policies -- general farm suggestions are fine; specific horses aren't. We removed a post for that reason.

Thanks!

Not sure how young you are looking for, but Virginia Tech has quality young warmbloods, up to 2 y/o and sometimes older. All for sale. Contact Rebecca Splan Rsplan@vt.edu

I also third the impulsion unlimited recommendation. Sue and Jeff are great.

Not sure if you are the same individual I exchanged emails with or not? Kris' suggestion for the Mid Atlantic Hanoverian breeders group is certainly about the best bet you can have for covering a LOT of farms in northern Va in a limited time frame, many of us are within half an hour of each other-as well as Dulles Airport.

I have a fabulous gelding for sale, he is in training 20 minutes from me with someone who has several others to choose from-right there you can see/try a few in one visit. The best part about this group is that we know if one of us doesn't have the horse for you, another one might, we are happy to direct you to another owner.

It also totally depends on WHERE in VA you are going to be. If you choose Lynchburg, then those mentioned (Bob/Sherra or Sue/Jeff) are certainly great options with great reputations. If you can be specific about your visit and where you are planning to be, we might be better able to make suggestions.

Good luck, I bet you will find the horses you are looking for on this trip!
