I can't seem to find this in a search. Has anyone seen a Baucher/Hanging cheek Lozenge Mouth bit sold by a US seller? For an affordable price if I'm being picky....

Stubben makes one for a halfway decent price. Lucky you--back when my horse needed a lozenge baucher, the cheapest option was the $110 Neue Schule Lozenge Baucher. ;) Horsie has since grown out of his baucher phase, but it was such a PITA to acquire that I hang onto the bit anyway.

Thanks Jen! I'm not much of a bit collector, owning only french links and regular eggbutt snaffles, but I'm branching out. <G> Figures, I get creative and make up my mind about something...only to find out it's not easy to get.

My mare prefers this bit so I use a John Dewsbury Kangaroo bit (I think Kangaroo is just the line of bits). Mine is a few years old and is similar to the Herm Sprenger bits since it is copper and nickel alloy. Here's a little blurb about them:

I thought they stopped making John Dewsbury bits but I came across this one recently so perhaps they didn't after all.

The middle link is a lozenge (not a french link, etc).

Here is the Stubben: http://www.equestriancollections.com/product.asp?groupcode=SN00118&utm_source=mb&utm_campaign=SN00118&green=2759551069&utm_medium=rec

You could also go Myler, which is a fairly similar mouth: http://www.equestriancollections.com/product.asp?groupcode=TO80097

I use the Stubben one on my horse everyday. I love it, my horse loves it, and its legal in competiton. Can't get much better than that :)
