I am looking for a particular Sprenger bit and of course can't find it! I have checked the catalogs of the usual on-line tack shops and no one carries it.

Do you know of anyone who would special order a bit for me? I am looking for the KK Schooling Bit. I borrowed one and the mare really likes it, but I had to give it back. Mare is back to being grumpy and the child is grumpy with the mare. I am grumpy with both of them, so I am getting desperate. :-)

Thanks so much!!

I tried google and found this

http://www.coachmansdelight.com/ProductPageWithGuide.asp?pg=sto21&k=21&sku=BITS6-522&all=1

and found a few others that referred to "KK Training bit" that looked a lot like the basic KK Ultra (loose ring).

Not sure if the above bit is legal for dressage....if it isn't, and that is what she likes, you may want to try the Myler comfort snaffle that is legal.

Thanks so much! I wonder why it's not a legal bit?

I have tried the Myler bit and the mare didn't like that one either. She is such a PITA . . . good thing we like her!

Check on it....if it isn't legal...and since she didn't like the myler, she might like the HS Duo bit. That one is legal...but it is extremely soft (not metal). They are pricey too so you may want to try it first since she is so picky!:D

Coachman's Delight/Andy Marcoux is great to work with so you might try just calling him.

Also, Clark Farm Saddlery (www.clarkfarmsaddlery.com) deals in Sprenger bits and Nancy can special order for you if you know what you want.

Bit of Britain rents Sprengers. Why not call them and see if they can order you that bit to try and rent it? I love this "rental"program idea.
