View Full Version : Favorite waffle weave cooler?

Can you recommend a fairly heavyweight cotton waffle weave cooler? I already have fleece and would like a heavier waffle weave to double as a blanket liner without the static. Thanks in advance!

The Weatherbeeta is a good one...Saxon. You can find them pretty cheap, too (around the $40-$50 range).

I particularly love this one:

and I like this even better than the waffle: http://www.tackroominc.com/masta-coolmasta-waffle-weave-sheet-p-2737.html

More on the heavier weight side, this one is very nice: http://www.adamshorsesupply.com/browse.cfm/4,7030.html

Heavier weight and quite nice (stretchy and seems to run a bit big): http://www.equestriancollections.com/product.asp?groupcode=JP00359

The Centaur Wickster. [ See Adams above ] Really does a good job of wicking moisture away. I put it under a turnout at night and in the morning my horse's back was dry under the wickster... It is made from acrylic not cotton so it wicks moisture rather than absorbing and holding it. Did some google magic and found that acrylic after polypropylene is the best wicking yarns used in horse apparel. Cotton is at the bottom of the list.

Thanks all. Lots of fabulous options here. I mentioned cotton as that was the only cooler I saw with the waffle-type weave, which I like for allowing airflow or circulation. THANKS!
