Hope you can join us for the QUARTERS FOR HORSES FUNDRAISER!

We're holding a "Quarter Auction" (which some of you may know as "Quarter Mania"). Proceeds go to help local horses. And you can walk away winning some great, brand-new items for only 25 cents!

When: Dec 17th. Doors open at 6 and bidding begins at 7pm.

Where: Calvert Grange Hall, 2357 Telegraph Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911 (just minutes from I-95 Exit #100)

Why: to raise money to feed & care for rescued horses, to support the educational programs, and to offer horse owner outreach at Equihab.

How: you use a numbered paddle to "bid" on items. One at a time items are held up. If you want in, you put a quarter in the bowl at your table and hold the paddle up. Numbered balls are drawn and if they draw your number you win the item!

Ten to twelve area vendors bring items to the event. You may see everything from brand-name purses to Tupperware, Avon, or Pampered chef dealers. Other vendors specialize in nice potted plants, tin signs, jewelry, handmade pottery, and more. And there will be a special row of "Charity" items donated by these vendors and by outside sponsors - the sales of which help raise money for the horses.

Food & drinks will be available for sale - the proceeds also going to the horses.

Bring your friend or your whole family. This is a fun way to spend an evening out and win some cool prizes.

Other fun activities include a Gift Card Tree raffle and a Chinese raffle for gift baskets.

If you don't want to bid: Volunteers are also greatly appreciated. Help with running (collecting the quarters), kitchen help, and pre-event promotions help are requested.

Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you can't come, you can still participate: donate an unused item. This is a great way to recycle a gift: re-gift it! Anything new/unopened is welcome - it does not have to be horse related.
