So I took my English Praxis in June and passed :D So now it's on to the PLT. Any advice? Good books to get? Helpful hints during the test or on how to study for it? Anything in particular you would look over? I'll be taking it in mid-January I think. I'll be studying over winter break for the most part.

What's the PLT?

I think it stands for Principles of Learning and Teaching? I should probably find that out before the test  I'll be certified grades 7-12 so that's the test I have to take. It's for education majors in many states.

I just took my Praxis writing exam last month (and passed, too!!) and will take the math exam next week.

I used the Learning Express prep book and am very pleased with how closely it matched the actual exam I took. The CD-ROM included has been a truly useful tool. I believe they also publish a prep book on the Praxis II subject areas.

I took it about 8 years ago, so it may have changed since then. However, I recall about 25 multiple choice questions about child development and then a handful of 'case scenarios' where you had to explain a variety of different ways you could create interventions with students in different situations. Several of my scenarios were about students in physical education class, so that was interesting. A lot of writing, but I don't recall it being something that I found to be ridiculously difficult.
