Do Amerigo (deep dressage and/or Vega) saddle sizes run true to size? Is a deep dressage truly like a smaller-size seat size? The big question: does a 1/2" difference in seat size (in any Amerigo saddle) make a huge difference (for the rider)?

I have always ridden in a 17.5" saddle, but a I need an 18" Vega.

When I was deciding which Amerigo to get, I liked the look of the Deep Dressage as far as the flap etc but the actual seat was deep making it smaller. Thats why I ended up with the Cortina. Just like the Deep Dressage with a shallower and more open seat.

I would def say that a 1/2 size would be noticable.

Ann @ Equestrian Imports lets you test ride like you own the saddle for like $25 and she has I believe all models of the Amerigo dressage saddles. Plus she has used ones too. Shes GREAT at making sure it fits you, your horse, and your budget. That way if you arent sure, you can try the different sizes.

I think they run true to size. I have had a few here over the years and love them.
