This is JD. He resides at Missy Ransehousen's barn. My daughter rode him a few winters ago when we took at trip to PA. He was wonderful beyond words. I think he is an Irish Sport horse.

We saw several para horses during our visit. Each one was more lovely than the next as they came into the indoor with their riders. And the para riders were exceptional. They are riding at a very high level and they are tough, talented and determined.

That is what we have been told but so far have been unable to track his breeding

I think he was bred by the Carlingford Stud in Northern Ireland. Patrick Hughes is the owner and he probably knows the breeding. Just google "Carlingford Stud". THey have a nice website.

What a wonderful article! Stinna has such a fabulous attitude, and look at her ride through her pony's trip (down to his knees!), stay on, straighten her helmet, smile and continue the test for 70.174 :D

I love her final quote, “My horse was a little turned on. He was very proud of himself to be out there, and I was very proud of him.”

a dressage test with no legs  wow! That is one of the coolest things i've seen... props to the rider

I'm curious to the aids that the pony is trained for! Pretty amazing imo

Seeing that, I shall never ever complain about my horse not listening to this or that aid again! Cudos to all of the para team members and their horses!!
