Thanks, I did enjoy that. In particular the pictures with dressage horses in brown tack and no saddle pads; shocking!

Isn't it cool? I actually had two horses I would do that with at championships. Not before rides, but there is a racetrack there, so we would always go for a nice gallop to get off steam. My ADHD child (horse) REALLY just needed to go run fast, a lot. Another one just loved it.

My mare is one who also benefits from a good canter, preferably at some speed. She doesn't really have a nice trot until she's cantered a bit.

Some horses with a lot of blood respond well to a pipe opener! Love historical highlights. Once of my very good friends is Paul Weir's neice and I've visited her in Elgg...so it is interesting to read his name.
