Anyone know of any interesting dressage type stuff happening in the Torino area? I have to keep myself entertained for four days and don't think the Egyptian Museum will take up more than two days. But, you never know! ;)

When are you going? From Oct 15 to Oct 17 Turin hosts the Italian Dressage Championships plus a well-attended CDI***, the place is La Mandria (Venaria Reale) just outside Turin (the European Championships were held there in 2007, it's an amazing, amazing facility, definitely worth going just to see it!)

Oh, how frustrating. We will be in Torino from the 5-9 or 10th, then off to other parts and returning home the 15th. Is it possible to visit Venaria Reale or is there nothing going on there when the CDI isn't being held? Thanks for responding to my post!

Oh no, how frustrating indeed! Any chance you could just pop back for the day on the 15th? The Sunday should really be worth it, with the Kurs :)

Even if you can't, Venaria is most definitely worth a visit - it's a former royal (Savoy) residence included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Have a look at the website:

Whereas this is the direct link to the competition centre:

If you need any other info on Turin please do PM, it's the area where I was born :)
