isn't it a shock how timeless these horses and riders are

the only indication to year ( era 10 years) is the gentleman who walks in front of the camera ( bowler hat) and the camera technique itself

Otherwise the horses uniform and style could be from anytime.

Ok, so it shows horses ABOVE THE BIT, not round, shaking their head at the contact (see the "airs" part) not forward, back upside down, short, choppy gaits.

Any modern Lipp can do far better than this.

Just because it is old, does not mean it is better-

In fact, if you watch the whole short video, the last scene shows several horse/riders in the menage- trotting/jigging/half cantering above the bit, into a tense, back down, head high canter.

Or watch the first "attempt" at levade- oh my goodness, he has the horse's chin ON ITS CHEST (when it isn't shaking its head to avoid the contact) in RK!!!!!!!!!!
