View Full Version : A tale of Two Clinics

I recently attended both the Gerd Heschmann clinic, and the Edward Gal clinic. What was interesting is that there are more similarities between the two of them than differences![/I][/B]
Both emphasize long and low, with horse stretching over back and reaching for bit. Both emphasize forward. Both encourage holding the inner rein until the horse gives. Both insist on having the fundementals in place before moving on to doing movements.
Differences? GH clinic was more a demo of fundamental training techniques, EG more a typical clinic. GH encourages a two point/forward seat to get the horses back up. GH interacted more with the auditors. EG caught on a little quicker to what issues were, and was more interested in correcting movements, once horse was listening to rider.
