There was an article in the Chronicle very recently with a sidebar that two of the Biggest Name US endurance riders--Kanavy and CrandellCradell (? sp)--are foregoing the WEGs because of the three weeks required at Shaker Village.
What would be wrong with 3 weeks at Shaker Village?
Although the endurance chef seems to be very much a "do it my way, or it's the highway" sort of guy from the Kanavy/Crandell reactions in the COTH story.
