I'm done being Mrs. Nice Guy.

Here goes: I sold the bridle to 2traks from Texas the first week in November.

I PT'd her the Monday after Thanksgiving and got the "I sent the check almost 2 weeks ago. The mail has been really slow around her, so it should be there in a few days." I took this to mean, I forgot to pay you but I'll mail it out now and you'll have it in a few days.

I sent 3 other nice emails and have had no response even though I know she's been posting on the board, so she's hasn't dissapeared.

Anyway, I guess I'm out my bridle, martingale and now my money. I learned my lesson.

If anyone knows 2traks personally, can you ask her to please either send me my money or my bridle and martingale back.

llsc,

This wasn't a classifieds transaction. The items were solicited to me via PT. I don't get notifications for PTs. You'll have your items back via FedEx. I'll PT you the tracking number. Based on what her meds are doing these days I can only imagine what seal could have to say. Sonya, it's been over 5 years -- move on with your life and find a job or a hobby. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

are you on crack? this message makes no sense. If you agreed to pay for it, pay for it. if it doesn't work and the seller said they'd take it back, send it back. Otherwise, pay for it.

I don't think it matters whether or not you received the bridle and martingale through the classifieds or through a PT. You STILL received it through this BB. And everyone gets a notification of a new PT when they sign onto COTH. It flashes at the top of the screen.

Not to be snarky or anything, but since you're so willing to give back the bridle and martingale, 2traks, should we assume the check was never sent?

It was sent and she obviously didn't get it. I've already placed a stop payment on it through my bank. They said it hadn't been presented to them. I'd rather just send everything back and be done with this situation.

Perhaps you can provide her with proof of that and explain why she claims to ahve never received any responses from you? In general, people here like you, so if you have a way to clear your name, you should do it. If you stopped payment on the check, you should have sent her another one or the bridle back already.

I have an old PM that I never opened so I contantly have a New PM! thing flashing on the screen. I don't even notice it anymore. While my e-mail address is right in my profile I still don't receive notifications when I have a new PM. Since I don't generally PM with people I don't even go in there unless I'm sending something. It's just not even something I think to do. I did give extra time after her Nov. 28th PM for the check to get there. I just sort of forgot about it due to all the hectic-ness of this time of year. I didn't know that she still hadn't received it until her feedback post. At this point I just want to give it back to her and get on with my life. Trust me, a used bridle is not worth all of this. I'd be happy to get something rom the bank saying that the check has a stop payment on it (placed today after seeing this thread,) but at this point it sounds like it wouldn't make a difference. http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/sigh.gif

What meds? I can't imagine what would be your motive to drag me into this train wreck.

I already have a job and more than enough hobbies to keep me occupied, thank you very much. http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/winkgrin.gif

Seal - LOL, distractiion is not getting her out of this train wreck. But guess it was worth a try? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Im not getting involved but, bottom line is 2t- never sent a check, her horse is probabaly riding right now in llsc's bridle and m-gale. and it is just plain not right to do. It sours people from purchasing items through this BB.

Check out the thread in H/J about the condition the bridle and martingale came back in! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I'll post this on the other thread as well, but when I saw this I just had to laugh...

I talked to 2 traks on the phone quite a bit more than a year ago after the possiblity of me leasing her TB gelding came up.

While that didn't work out she did send me a saddle on trial. She didn't have me send a check first, just sent me the saddle. I think it was 770 dollars but I know it was 700 something, so actually a fairly significant amount of money. So obviously VERY nice of her.

The saddle didn't work for me and instead of sending it back to her I checked with her and decided that I would try and get it sold here (I had a friend that was looking at the time that thought she would like to try it). She really needed it sold and sending a saddle back and forth isn't so cheap either. I stayed in contact with her the entire time, and all was good. The saddle did sell and I sent her a check (which I let her know).

Not so much as 2 weeks later she posts on the UDBB observation lounge that I STOLE her saddle and what legal reprocussions she had. Talking about filing a police report, fraud etc. NOT ONCE DID SHE CONTACT ME before posting that.

I saw her post and called her immediatly. Turned out she had LOST the check. I sent her a replacement which she managed to not lose.

Either way I find it funny that she is doing something that she falsly accused me off, especially since she had kittens when she thought it was happening to her.

Sheesh!
Let's retract the claws, ladies.
She sent the bridle and martingale back.
It is now in better condition than it was when it was sent. I did that.
Yes, her horse was wearing the bridle and martingale when they were in her possession. I did that, too.
I was entirely unaware of the inappropriateness of doing so.
Everything settled??
Everybody calm, now??
For what it's worth, I was told that the bridle and martingale were sent by a friend because she wasn't using them anymore.

See, this is the problem with thinking that this COTH Forum is filled with "friends".

Please be honest here, because I have been absolutely truthful from the beginning. The bridle was in very good condition. I represented it exactly for what it was, a $200.00 bridle that I had used for 5 years that did not fit my new horse so I sold it for $50.00. A bargain in anyones book.

The bridle had no condition problems. The rein end was broken and the martingale had damgage to the neck strap. I told 2traks that and I threw the martingale in for free. At all times, I told her if she didn't like it or if it didn't fit she could return it.

It must have been nice enough that you would be willing to spend money to have the thing taken in instead of just sending it back. You can't talk out of both sides of your mouth, either it wasn't as represented, and you would have sent it back to me, or it was great and you were using it and were going to have it altered to fit the horse.

Since 2traks said it was great and you were willing to keep it and have it altered, I'm guessing the answer really was, it was a nice bridle. I was nothing but honest here and all that needed to be said in the first place once it finally came to 2traks attention, was, "Sorry, I didn't get your messages and I'm sending out a new check today."
