I think Disco is 12 or 13 - I Can't remember for sure.... another girl at the barn that Karli and Karoline ride at (and the barn that I was a WS at) is riding Disco now.. I know she was looking for a new horse last summer, but I'm not sure if she bought him or is just leasing him.

Karen is totally crazy..and this TV show really proves what some of us already knew!!! I'm really glad that one of the fathers is going for custody, and I'm hoping its her last husband...the father of the two youngest boys... I know Karli and Karoline both enjoyed the family aspect of having him around...

I *believe* Disco was sold to a girl named Courtney up here in Area I... I've seen her name on the results next to his, so it's quite possible she bought him after all.

Interesting that Karen is listed on the faculty at Dartmouth, and as a staff member at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, Connecticut. I also looked at town records in Glastonbury and can find no record of all her mortgages. Could this whole show have been a ruse?

Could Disco be back in NZ? I googled him again out of boredom and curiosity and the results are showing a Disco A Go Go being ridden by someone named Helen Sinclair.

Maybe he couldn't sell in the states so they sent him back where he came from?

FrittSkritt... Courtnay may have bought him..I'm not sure. karli was still listed as the owner at GHFII though...and that was just in June. I didn't end up going down to watch (WAY too HOT!!!) so I didn't talk to anyone from that crowd...

llt...they do exist and the story is true...I worked in Nancy Cole's barn all last summer and got to know the family fairly well..Karen really is that crazy!!!

I feel bad for those kids and would take all of them in a minute, although I dont have eventers I do have jumpers..

Mom is a whacko, I could not believe she tols her children she was leqving for 2 months to go clear her head, what a nut....I could never do that to a child, I hope the fathers do come and get custody...These kids need a stable house to finish growing up in...

As for Disco's asking price, I think I heard the Mom say that it was 45K...

Though shocked and appalled, I somehow was only slightly surprised to read at the end that Momma had taken out yet another mortgage to go on her selfish yoga stint.

She rips her daughter's heart out by selling her horse (and I believe her sister's as well) because she can't afford him, but then turns around and does it again for herself???

ok, i stand corrected, further research shows I was wrong about the situation, the mother DID actually take a loan on the house - you can doucment this at the website for the town they live in. I think it is important to note that while we may BUY as horse as an amateur or junior, when it comes time to sell, we will most likely see a return on investment. Thus the poor woman, after sacrificing so much for the kids, needed to refinance the family home for "me time".

That is a possibility, but the email address utilizes the address that the family used to live at in the same town (Cotton Hollow Lane). That leads me to believe that it is legit. But I don't know for sure.

You know I had a feeling karen had something coming. When the girls were in FL. she started gushing how happy she was that they had this special time together and thanking Disco for taking care of her girl yada yada. I agree with what she was saying my mom and I say it but we still say it....my parents didn't announce they couldn't afford our horses divorce and then have to take a two month retreat to find themselves. What a wack job.
