Who has recommendations for farm insurances? We need to include liability as well since there will be boarders. Is it always necessary to include our home- dropping our regular homeowners coverage? I hate to do that as we have a great relationship with our insurance agent.
Thanks for any help!

Doesn't your regular agent carry farm insurance?
I am sure he/she could answer these questions better than most of us, as regulations and coverages are quite regional.
Here it is cheaper and easier to get an entire farm/homeowner package than to buy separate coverage from two different companies, unless your home is on a separate land title than your farm.
We also get discounts on the boarder/student liability insurance rider, for having a barn that is up to current fire code, including smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, and for having certification with our national body as a coach.
