View Full Version : Game: Would you rather?
JumpTheMoon01
Dec. 15, 2003, 04:29 PM
To play this game, all you do is say would you rather and put two choices. I would put my question, the next person would answer it and then you would put a question and another person would answer it and so on and so forth. If you want to get off of horsey questions you can if you want. I don't know if we can do that since we are on a horse message board hehe. But just wing it!!
Would you rather..
Fall off of your horse face down in a pile of poop or fall off onto an electric fence??

I would have to say neither, but would truefully rather fall into a elecrtic fence. It doesn't hurt that bad and I would rather not be covered in poop.
Here is my question:
Would you rather have any horse you want or the horse you have now?
My answer...my horse of course! Although he is far from perfect and can be frustrating at times I could never imagine not riding him or owning him! I swear we were made of eachother!

Would you rather sell your favorite horse for $100,000 or keep him/ her forever and never make a dime?
My answer: Keep them forever! I lost my short stirrup pony when I was a senior in college. I still have my junior horse who is now 27. My son is learning to ride on my childhood large pony. We never sell the special ones! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Would you rather board in a modest facility where the people are nice and the accommodations are safe but very basic (no indoor, no hot water, etc.)OR board in a high-class facility with BNT and all the extras, but the people are snobby and rude?

I'd rather board at the modest facility with good basics than a BNT w/snobby people -I'm lucky I had the opportunity to board with a BNT who didn't tolerate any snobbiness.
so now a question.
Would you rather go to a big show with lots of entries and even thought you rode well you didn't get a ribbon - Or go to a smaller show where you know you could probably get a ribbon even if you didn't ride your best?

Here's mine: would you rather board at a wondeful barn within a great horsey area (i.e., great shows, trails, etc.) in a state/country where it's freezing cold year round, or use a crummy backyard barn in the 400 miles away from nowhere where it's perfect weather year round?

Would you rather learn to do reining or ride cutting horses?

Reining. Dressage with a saddle horn.
Would you rather have an in house private trainer or private maid/stall mucker/tack cleaner combo.
c_horse
Dec. 23, 2003, 01:29 PM
It depends on how many horses, but I would have to say the in-house trainer. I feel guilty if I have people do my chores. Although I'm not that partial to cleaning tack.
My question:
Would you rather ride a "down-hill" horse that is hard to get off his forehand?
-OR-
Ride an "up-hill" horse that likes to go with his head in the sky?
LMH
Dec. 23, 2003, 01:36 PM
I'll take this one--
Either one to be honest but I case I will take uphill as any horse can put his head down (ever watch em graze)...
OK-would you rather....
1. Ride with Joe Fargis regularly on a nasty rank horse OR
2. Ride with a complete idiot moronic trainer regularly on a made horse?

Oldenburg baby. At least they have some brains between those ears.
I've dealt with enough air-brained TBs to last a life time.
My Turn: Would you rather go without a horse of your own until you found the perfect horse or would you take what you can and deal with it?

Hmmmm...I would take what I could and deal w/ it!! Any horse is better than no horse at all! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/yes.gif
Would you rather"
1) jump w/ reins and no stirrups
or
2) jump w/ stirrups and no reins?

Man, that's a gross thought, either one, but I guess I'd rather clean 15 sheaths. Thrush treatment stinks and has to be done 4 times on each horse. At least most horses only have one sheath!
Would you rather jump through a burning ring of fire, or go to a clinic with your favorite BNT and spend an entire day with your zipper undone and lettuce in between your front teeth?
To you, she's a horse. To me, she's a family member who is big, hairy, walks on all fours and is easily startled.

Easy one! Clinic with your favorite BNT and spend an entire day with your zipper undone and lettuce in between your front teeth. I don't care what I look like as long as I am riding great that day! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
Here's one- Would you rather clean stalls or teach beginner (and I mean *beginner*) lessons?

I love beginners (up-downers). I have a three year old son, so I have the patience... although I don't mind cleaning stalls either.
Would you rather jump cross country in a western saddle or a side saddle?

Just wanted to say that that gave me quite a good laugh! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/winkgrin.gif
I gotta say I'd rather have a clinic w/ the lettuce and zipper down because I know that my favorite BNT would very politely and privately let me know about my situation and then continue the lesson while making rude remarks and only I would understand their true meaning. He is quite the joker and would never let me live it down, but at least I would have a great clinic and learn a lot!
Would you rather set up a show jumping course with distances and heights perfectly measured, or have to put up a dressage ring with those pesky plastic poles and make sure that it is the exact size and all sides are perfectly straight?

I would rather try the side saddle I think- Never seen a picture of a happy person or horse jumping western...

Oooh.. Emstah, toughie.
I think I'll go for dressage ring; I'm better at straight lines than I am at setting distances. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Ok, would you rather compete in a large show with visible (granny-panty-esque) underwear lines, or very visible/grimy dirt stains?

Whoops, posted at the same time. Ok, I'll answer yours hunter.
I'd take the jumping on foot. (I just don't like laps in general. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )
My Q again:

Hmmm probably the visible underwear lines. At least I would look more presentable than if I had dirt all over my clothes.
Would you rather get all ready for a show and at the last minute find out it was cancelled or find out at the last minute that you have a show you had to go to with NO time to get ready?

Find out That I had a show, and no time to get ready- Doesn't take me too terribly long before each show to get the necessary work done. Who sais I have to braid? Which brings me to....
Would you rather:
Braid 10 horses manes- no pay-
OR
Clean off 10 horses that had rolled in a big, yucky mud hole?
