Yes. I'm reminded of Margurite Henry's book "King of the Wind" about the Godolphin Arabian. There is a picture of Sham and his mom ... very very similar.

Just so no one gets their nose out of joint, ALL these snaps are great! All of them, without exception.

Some I cannot use as the framing is a little off—you see Mom's butt, but not all of her. Sometimes it's too far away and sometimes the quality is just not there—not the subject quality, the photographic quality. Since these are for reproduction, I can't use em.

HOWEVER, there are so many nice ones I think I'm going to use them scattered throughout the publication. Wow. Am I going to have a BALL doing this.

I will need the original files, and will start a PT with those who have snaps I can use...

If anyone wants a copy of what I'm producing, let me know (PT) and don't forget to include your address. No, it's not a book ... but it's still going to get seen!

This is not a picture of only a foal, but also a kid. Unfortunately the quality is not greatest, but if you like it, I can do new prints of it and scan it again.

The girl in the picture (March 2000) is Kristin age 7 - my friends' daughter. The foal is Diddl (formally known as De Nuno). Diddle was right from the beginning a kid's foal. Kristin's little sister (4 at that time) could also hug and pad him without anybody being afraid of anything.
De Nuno is now ridden by Kristin (she started showing him this year now she is eleven). He is a licensed Weser-Ems breeding stallion and finished last year in the Bundeschampionat in the finals with place 7 (different rider). This year they try to qualify him again, maybe this time even ridden by Kristin and he will do his stallion performance test in autumn.
A great pony stallion and I think a nice picture of the two.
We hope to see them at least next year at the BC together than in the FEI tests for young horses/ponies. They are able to do the test already today, but both need more experience.

THEN, figure out whose I have already used.

Download new ones that I need.

Start the PT. EVERYONE WHO HAS PICS THAT I WANT TO USE MUST MUST MUST come on to the PT... otherwise I won't be able to caption.

Example of a caption already in use: New foal & blankie! Carosello Farm, Sonia Hogulnd, Illinois.

Who had the picture of the three foals, sunbathing? This is their caption: Gettin’ a tan! Sunbathing at XYZ Farm in XYZ State.

Who had the picture of the foal that looked like it was a hound pointing? Caption: 2004 Colt by XXX out of XXX. XYZ Farm, XYZ State.

PLEASE. EVERYONE. I need you ALL to go to the PT - everyone on the list. These are YOUR pictures and I have to make sure you are ok with the captions and ok with how I'm citing your farm/you/whatever.
