How far from Fort Tuthill, home of the tremendously fun Coconino Horse Trials, is the Flagstaff fire?

The fire is approximately 6 miles to the north.

Tuthill's fine.

You makin' the trek?

That's great news! Yup, Walter and I am coming for both horse trials, and bringing a lot of our friends! Will you be able to come up and visit?

:D

I might be able to come up for a day during Summer I. Summer II is harder, but one never knows.

I'd love to see you, Walter & the whole gang.

The fire is moving more to the east in it's location and there'd have to be a big, disastrous shift in the winds for it to threaten Tuthill. But Flag itself would go first.

It would be great to see you! That is good news about the flames! Any idea about the smoke?

Since it's blowing the fire away right now, smoke shouldn't be so bad there. Keeping in mind the elevation already makes breathing harder, though, it may be more difficult.

I was going to be heading up to watch, but plans changed... I'd like to see the course my guy did before he was "retired" to a dressage horse with me. :)
