One small bite at a time and the Long Format “elephant” is HUGE! I encourage all of you that hope to compete or have competed in a T3DE or P3DE to get involved with the Long Format Club. (www.longformatclub.com (http://www.longformatclub.com/)). We need support in the form of donations and volunteer work in order to continue our mission to ensure the survival of long format eventing. Entries alone won't do the job and during these trying economic times events nationwide are still struggling.

There are many ways to volunteer which support the club and its mission. Check out the volunteer page (http://www.longformatclub.com/volunteer.html (http://www.longformatclub.com/volunteer.html)) and see how you can help.

No volunteer effort or dollar amount is too small. In particular we are in need of event representatives. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow serious eventers and help spread the word regarding our mission. LFC Event Representatives act as "point person(s)" for each of the Classic Events. They are responsible for running a booth at the event and working with organizer to promote their event and secure LFC exposure - ads, banners, etc.
If you talk with any of our members who have served out as event reps you will be inspired by their experience. (http://www.facebook.com/#!/note.php?note_id=395101354436)
. We cannot save the long format alone, but we can work miracles if everyone makes an effort to help.

Take a moment to click on our link and see how you can help!!!

Bump... I have been an Event Rep and would be happy to let you know what's involved. We do need folks who care about Classic eventing to act as ambassadors for the T3Ds and P3Ds.

I've looked at the website a couple times and would love to help but had a hard time figuring out exactly who to contact since I don't live near any events.

Hi all,

Many thanks for the replies. Firefox and IBW check out our volunteer page (http://www.longformatclub.com/volunteer.html) and see if there is a particular job that appeals to you. That is how I became the social networks coordinator :) I am not ready to qualify for a T3DE but I know someday I want to!! I am also 4 hours away from the closest T3DE but who knows, maybe in time a more "local" event will also be able to host a T3DE or P3DE. In the mean time, I plug away and help in a small way. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions or need any help. We need help in all sorts of ways, if you want to help.......there is room for you!!

Thanks!
