will a solar charger be enough zap for cows?
can anyone recommend a good one?
need to fence off my SO's dad's veg garden from some annoying bullocks!
I don't want to use barbed wire as we may have horses up there too.

Solar charger should be enough to hold cattle, in most cases, they are easier to fence than horses. But I would suggest using a wire, not any type of tape or braided fence, as they just do not zap something/someone as well .

My rancher friends put there cattle here one winter. I had rented pasture to other cattle also - and those got out. My friends are very experienced ranchers and he put up a very powerful solar charged fence with a thin braded fence. He even confirmed with me that it was ok to have such a charge near my horses.
He got his charger and gets his braided fence from Premier One. Premier One also answers questions and gives advice on what you need and their advice is sound.
It was all quite technical in the number of jules and the type of tape and all that.
