This is me riding my 10yr old standardbred mare katie. I am jumping her 2'3'' for the first time in this picture and thats why shes jumping it huge! i know i need a release but is there anything else i should work on with my position or my horse? thanks :D

Not sure why no one has commented yet. Your release cant be too bad because she is really stretching up and over nicely. She is not physically straight - so its not the over jumping as a trainer I am concerned about - I would want to see her straight in her body so I would be looking at how straight and correct you rode her TO the fence. I cant see your lower leg but you appear with your horse - I love that you have a giant grin on your face.

It's kinda' hard to tell, but it does look like you could shorten your stirrup a hole to allow you to drop more weight into your heel. That would allow your rear to be a little closer to the saddle, and your back to flatten out a bit. Your smile says it all, though!
