Pernaval for horses/Green Lip Muscle. Helps with inflamation and joint issues?

http://www.thepainfreehorse.co.uk/pernaton.htm

I was told about this last night buy an older gentlemen, that told me his daughter used it on her horse, after being told he wasn't going to be sound enough for competiton. After putting him on this, he competed for 4 more years. The gentleman( in his upper 60"s) said he himself has used it asnd is pain free!

Has anyone tried it? I can only find UK websites to buy it from, even though it appears to be produced in New Zealand.

You mean green-lipped mussel. It's ground-up mussel shells and is basically calcium. They sell it as a product similar to Cosequin as an oral joint supplement. Nothing mysterious about it.

Blue lipped muscle is a source of chondroitin... don't know how rubbing it on a horse would be helpful, but o.k.

It's an oral feed supplement, no rubbing!
