How about one for Draft Horses? Seems to be more and more of us out here who love the big boys and girls. Would love to have us a separate board to discuss the special things about drafts.
Thank you for your consideration!!! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well with the whether finally changing to normal temps, BeBe will be able to get cranking on her fencing the back pasture.
Once that's done, I'll have the money saved to buy Tank. Can't wait!!! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
P.S. BeBe might be getting another horse too! She's looking for something smaller, like an Arabian.

http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Thank you, MyWildIrishRose. I am so excited, I hope to go pick her up this weekend !! Then I will probably bore everyone with every little move she makes. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Draft crosses should be allowed as well, got two in the barn now. Sold me on the drafties. That is why I bought one. So who is the one to start this Draft Board ???
PS so how do I get into this Drafties Clique

Well, I guess it's up to us Draft Lovers to keep this "topic" as our board until a lovely person at COTH builds it in for us (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
Crosses are certainly allowed if[/I] they lean towards their draft heritage (i.e., big as trucks, some feather, etc.).
How 'bout some pictures of your new big girl, Warmheart? Would love to see her.
Okay, now if everyone would just blow at once, you'll send the clouds and rain out of West Georgia for the next three weeks so we can get the fencing done. Then I can get my big girl bought and moved in! Thank you for your cooperation.

http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Okay,I agree, we will make this our Draft Page !! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/winkgrin.gif I got my girl home. I'm in love and she is bigger than I remember. It seemed like when I went to look at her and stood beside her, rubbed her belly, etc. She seemed to be only about 15.3, she is only 17 months. When we went to get her, approx. one month had passed, we lead her from the pasture and I was awestruck, she is everybit of 16.1 or 2 and her rump is outasight. Thinking what have I done?? I have bought a wooly mammoth http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/lol.gif She is so sensible though. I have already started working with her, the previous owners I think were a little intimidated with her and just treated her like a cute but big pasture ornament. She leads well and loaded with no incidences being she had never been on a trailer before. She rode home without a peep and unloaded like a lady. As soon as I can get my SO to get some pictures i will put them up! How do I do that, btw???

Hey Warmheart!
Best way to post pictures is to set up a personal Photo Album at www.webshots.com (http://www.webshots.com) -- It's free and very easy to do. Then you just change your COTH signature, pasting the community address to your photos after your name. This way it appears every time you sign-off on a post. Ta dah!
Congrats on your new girl. I'm so itchy to get my big girl bought and settled in. Hopefully this brief taste of snow/ice/ick in Georgia will be the last hurrah for winter. Supposedly it's going to be 62 this Saturday. Perfect fencing weather!
If we can just get the middle pasture fenced, we can move the three little girls in there and bring Tank home to use the upper pasture by herself until the little ones get used to her huge-ness (18 hands!)
I'll probably be buying a Duett Draft saddle for her. Any input as to their quality, etc. or does anyone have a better recommendation? Her back is tabletop so it'll have to be a 38cm tree. Thanks!

Okie dokie ! Will do that when I have some pictures to post. She was such a good girl today. She stood for the clippers, first time clipping. Chin, jowl and bridle path. I also scraped/slid the stool noisily around the concrete floor in the wash rack. She never even batted an eye. I was so proud of her. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Folks, this forum is for feedback on buyers and sellers who have used the classifieds. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif So I'm going to move this thread to Off Course.
You're welcome to talk about drafts on Off Course http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif but, at this time, we're keeping our forums organized around disciplines rather than around breeds. So, sorry, but I don't think a draft forum would really fit in with the way we're trying to organize things.
Here's a direct link (http://chronicleforums.com/groupee/forums?a=tpc&s=6656094911&f=5566064631&m=122608951) to the Off Course copy of this thread.
