View Full Version : Roma pads with Cool Max against the horse: Slippery?

I got one on a whim and used it for the first time last night. Rode some hills and dales and when we got back on the flat it had slipped a good 2" back, taking the saddle with it. Girth was as snug as usual, but we did canter some fairly steep inclines and by golly powerwalk one lonnnng one.

Are these pads slippery in anyone else's experience? that's the first serious sort of hill cantering we've done since I've bought this Kieffer but it's not slipped on top of a regular normal pad. I'm not sure if I should blame the hill and a hard working Chippy and add a breastplate, or set the pad aside as slippery in general.

Experiences, anyone?
