View Full Version : Pony Turnout blankets with attached neck and "ooomph" - do they exist??

I have been able to find great options (shires stormcheeta combo) for my daughers large pony but had had zero luck finding a warm turnout for our small pony (60"). I am looking for at least 1500 denier - preferably one with an intergrated neck (not a "wug" half neck).

The weatherbeeta combo i got last year was the right concept but at 600 denier, it was shredded by trusty pasturemate in no time flat

Any ideas

only 1000 denier but it has an attached neck rug

1200 denier without the neck

And this is the reason that I love my non-destructive pony

Rambo makes a super heavy one with a neck.

Seconding Stono Ferry's suggestion! I bought a Rambo Supreme Heavyweight for my easily chilled Welsh/Arab cross pony, and, with the help of a 150-g liner, we didn't need to pack up and go to the trainer's (warmer) barn even once this winter, and it was a seriously bad winter here in Missouri. So far it's worn like iron, just like every other Rambo I've owned.

ETA: The neck stays securely attached with double Velcro, if you're looking for permanence, but I really like having the option of taking it off on a warmer day.

Nanny has a rhino with the attached neck. Precious!

Thanks guys - i was going to look at Scheiders (1200 denier with attachable neck) and now I will look to see what the denier is on both the Rambo Supreme and Rhino
