HI there. . . I've been a long time lurker, but now it's my turn to ask the COTH community for a little bit of help!

I've been taking lessons as an adult re-rider in college, and now am moving back home permanently (in South Charlotte) and have begun my search for a new stable to take lessons. I've done a *lot* of research online, but as we all know some of the best places don't necessarily have the best online presence.

I am open to places in Fort Mill, Monroe, and the like. Midland is a *bit* far for me, but if someone has a great recommendation out there please let me know!

So basically here I am. I'm looking for a great stable/barn with a qualified instructor that is used to adult/college aged riders. While I'm not looking to join the Olympics or anything, I would like this to be a bit more than just a hobby or be more than just a "weekend warrior". I would *welcome* the chance to work part time or full time, or anything of the like.

All that being said, if anyone has any good recommendations I would welcome them! I prefer H/J or Eventing disciplines.

Here are barns I've already looked at
1. Cedarhill - WOW is all I can say, I was very impressed with the facility, and everyone there seemed very happy. Great "community feeling". :D
2. Honeysuckle- A bit far from home, but everyone seemed really laid back and great.
3. Thunderbay Academy- Had a big gate out front so couldn't scope it out.

If anyone has any FURTHER recommendations, or opinions on the barns already listed please feel free to PM/ respond!!

(I would also love the opportunity to look at a lease, but I really would need it to be under 400 a month).

THANKS!
Lb

You may wish to look at Everlong Equestrian Center in Monroe. :)

You are the second person to recommend Everlong
I'm going to contact them and try to take a tour of the facility this weekend.

Their website keeps saying it's trying to attack my computer :confused: But from what I can see on their fbook, etc it looks like a great facility.

Not much info on leases, but looks like they DO have a program.

I just hope they have some great school horses first :)

No suggestions as I don't live there but I was curious since my parents just settled down in NC (I live in MO) and looked up Cedarhill's site. It just so happens to be in Waxhaw, which is where my parents just moved, and it looks amazing!!! Gah... now I'm so much more tempted to move there hehe.

There are several beautiful farms in Waxhaw. Hidden Valley is literally less than a mile from Cedar Hill, and Belfair and Rivendale are close by and just gorgeous. The website for the local circut (which we've just started showing at- super nice people and great facilities) is www. phja.com. Should be plenty of links there!

Feel free to PM me :) I think CedarHill would be a great fit for what you are looking for. I live north of Charlotte, but have been here for about 13 years
