I am going to be taking a pony and a non-thoroghbred to show in-hand at Upperville this year! :)
I have never shown at Upperville and I see pictures of ladies in pant suits and fancy hats and others in khakis and jackets. I am used to showing at Dressage, Welsh and FEH classes where any clean polo and pair of khakis or white pants will do.
There are years of tradition that I would like to honor showing under the oaks and I dont want to be laughed out of the ring!
So, if anyone has recommendations or some precious words of wisdom, lay it on me!

Thanks!

The best thing to wear into the ring is a professional handler ;) but if you're going to do it yourself, either of what you mentioned would be appropriate, but mostly the khaki's and sport coat, with a hat for men or hair neatly pulled back for women (or hat) so you don't look like a wild mustang running from a round-up helicopter.
